Dance in Athens Festival 2015

Athens and Epidaurus Festival celebrates this summer 60 years of presence. The programme for 2015 was announced last week, including theater, music and dance performances, photo exhibitions and a visual installation. The dance section includes ten performances by greek and foreign creators. In brief:

Maguy Marin is presenting work to the festival for the fifth time.

Andonis Foniadakis was the movement coordinator in Darren Aronosfky’ s Noah.
Lenio Kaklea presented her interactive work Matter-of-Act at the festival in 2009 –she was 24 years old.

Tania Carvahlo's Weaving Chaos is inspired by Homer's Odyssey.

Michael Heupel plays on a cello built in 1723 by David Tecchler in Rome.
