Eleni Kalorkoti is an illustrator from Edinburgh, Scotland now living and working in London. She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2007 and trained in screenprinting at Edinburgh Printmakers. Her clients include: The New York Times, The V&A, Random House, Lucky Peach, and Regent's College and her work has been featured in some of the most influential websites, like brainpickings and instagram’s blog.
In her Dancers series she depicts different dance styles -from ballet to cancan to Schlemmer’s Bauhaus dancers- in a graphic, minimal way, whilst focusing on the important details of costume and movement for each style. The color palettes also reflect the ambience of each dance style.
We love her moody dancers -see all of them hereAlso check out the movement of this little flamengo dancer’s skirt in her April Zine
