Thessaloniki International Short Film Festival takes place this year from the 9th until the 13th of October in Cultural Center Alexanros. The festival was initiated in 2006 and every year presents shorts films by young creators as well as renowned cinematographers, aiming to bring up new ideas and currents in the field of cinema.

This year’s programme includes a very interesting dance film:
A short film, where dance and acrobatics come together with narrative plot and visual poetry. The film narrates with no words the story of Rose, a woman who uses dance as her main way of connecting and communicating with her surroundings.

The creators’ basic belief is that ‘everybody can dance, and everybody can appreciate a movie about dance; whether we are amateurs or professionals, big or small, beginner or expert, neophyte or a cinema lover’. In that same path, they casted a team of varied performers of different ages, professionals and amateur, dancers, circus artists and comedians.
Direction: Frédérique Cournoyer Lessard
Choreography: Stéphanie Thellen
Production: Joëlle-Agathe Tardif
The film will screen on Sunday October 11th, in Cultural Center Alexandros. General screening times: 17.00-20.00 and 21.00-00.00.
